Privacy Policy

AXION is a daily practice app for men. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have. We keep it short and honest because that is the whole brand.

The short version

• You can use AXION without an account, your data then lives only on your device.
• If you sign in, your progress is stored so it can sync across your devices.
• Your private content (journal, reflections, daily data) is never shown publicly.
• A public profile is opt-in and shows only achievements, never private content.
• We never sell your data.

What we collect

Account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account id from Google so we can create your account. If you use email sign-in, we store your email address. We never receive your Google password.

Your app data.Your progress (the pillars and actions you complete, levels, badges, identity tags, journal entries, reflections, your “why” and any letters to your future self, settings). When you are signed out this lives only in your browser’s local storage. When you are signed in it is also stored in our database so it follows you to other devices.

Public profile (opt-in). If you claim a username and set your profile public, a curated snapshot, your day count, levels, badges, identity tags, and recent activity dates, is readable by anyone with the link. Your journal, reflections, and other private content are never included. You can make your profile private or remove it at any time in Settings.

Community. If you add friends, send respect, or run quests, your username, display name, and public profile are visible to the people in your circle, along with messages you choose to send them.

Usage analytics.We log basic, non-identifying events (for example “a day was completed” or “a tab was opened”) with an anonymous device id, so we can see which parts of the app are useful. These events never contain your journal or any personal content.

Notifications.If you enable reminders, we store your device’s push subscription and your chosen reminder time and timezone, only to send the reminders you asked for.

How we use it

• To run the app and save and sync your progress.
• To power the optional public profile and community features you turn on.
• To generate coaching insights (see “AI” below).
• To send the reminders you enable.
• To understand, in aggregate, how AXION is used so we can improve it.

AI coaching

AXION’s coaching insights are generated with a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). To make them personal rather than generic, the coach sends a limited slice of your recent activity, your current actions, level, identity tags, and your most recent journal entries, to that provider so it can read what you actually wrote and respond to it. This happens only when you are signed in, and only to generate your insight; your data is not used to train their models.

Your journal text is sent only to the coaching features that need it (the daily coach card, the weekly recap, and action redesign). It is never included in your public profile, never shared with other users, and never logged in analytics.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small set of service providers to run AXION, who process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase, database and authentication.
• Vercel, hosting.
• Google, sign-in (only if you choose Google).
• Anthropic, AI coaching insights.

We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your choices and rights

• Use AXION signed out to keep everything on your device only.
• Make your public profile private, or never create one.
• Sign out to clear your data from that device.
• Request deletion of your account and stored data by emailing us (below).

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your stored data. Local data on your device is cleared when you sign out or clear your browser storage.

Children

AXION is intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as AXION evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
